Celebration of International Day of Peace, 2015
FAsCE India, celebrated International Day of Peace, 2015 by organising a meaningful Candle Light Procession on the eve
of September 27, 2015. The procession was flagged off from Shiv Mandir, Amsing Jorabat walked around 2 Kilometres proclaiming
the message of peace came back and concluded at Shiv Mandir. It was jointly organized by FAsCE India and FAsCE Peace Club
functioning at Amsing Jorabat. A total number of 175 youth and children participated in the motion lauding the importance for peace.
The participants carried placards with message of peace and importance of peace building. On the way many joined the rally showing
solidarity with World Day of Peace.
Reaching Shaiv Mandir, Mr. Ram Bhandari, Peace Club member, welcomed the participants into the gathering.
“Think of a pebble dropped in the still waters of a pond. It generates a small ripple at first and that little
ripple gradually spreads throughout the entire pond. Now, think of world peace. Peace process should start with
each individual. If one apologizes to the other for his wrong doing, the chain continues like the ripples in the
pond, and the process of peace and harmony prevails around us and everywhere.”, said Mr. Chintamani, President,
Peace Club Amsing Jorabat addressing the rally.
Thereafter, Fr. Clean Arengh, Associate Director, FAsCE India conducted a Peace Prayer and the partakers joined him
by closing their eyes praying for the world peace.
Followed by the gathering took Peace Oath and singing of Peace Anthem by FAsCE Peace Club members. The Rally,
including all the activities of the day exhaled the beauty and involvement of peace in the lives of the participants
and the large crowd that gathered at the conclusion. The day was emotionally memorable, and the programme concluded
by word of gratitude pronounced by Miss. Geeta Upadhya, Peace Club Member, Amsing Jorabat.
